Citizen

The flow of time

To celebrate Citizen’s 100th anniversary, we designed “The Flow of Time”, a watch exhibition that brought the brand’s Japanese heritage and design philosophy to Istanbul. Following previous editions in Paris, Tokyo and New York, the exhibition gathered watch enthusiasts in the city for a two-day experience dedicated to craftsmanship, time and creative culture.

Designed and curated by Rework, the exhibition space translated Citizen’s approach to time into a spatial narrative, blending minimal design, Japanese aesthetics and a contemporary exhibition language. Beyond the exhibition design, the project became a multi-disciplinary collaboration within our creative ecosystem. Casa Cooklife curated the catering experience, while Kita Living designed custom furniture pieces specifically for the event.

Under the creative direction of Rework founder & creative director İsmail Dağlı, the exhibition space hosted a series of workshops and collaborative experiences developed with different brands and creatives, turning the event into an open platform for culture and design. Over two days, the exhibition brought together Istanbul’s watch community, collectors and creatives. The experience culminated in an evening cocktail event featuring vinyl DJ performances, extending the celebration of time into music and social gathering.
